A welcome from Jillian Moffat,
Chair of the Board

Welcome to this latest update on our performance, value for money and affordability.
This year, after consultation with our Customer Senate, we're taking a slightly different approach to reporting our results to ensure we achieve value for money. For the first time, we're reporting the key statistics in Up Close magazine, which is distributed to all our tenant customers. In addition, we're producing 500 copies of the traditional booklet, available to customers on request. And, following the successful pilot last year, we are developing our performance reporting website which, I hope, you'll take a moment to look at.
This brief overview published here, looks in detail at:
- Key performance results for our services
- Our progress over the last 12 months
- What we spend our money on
- Our plans for the next 12 months
You can read about these developments on this website as well as other initiatives we have undertaken to help us and our customers deal with the many changes we face in Inverclyde.
We welcome your feedback as always, and I would like to assure you that the board will continue to drive improvements to performance at River Clyde Homes that will hopefully help make a difference for you and your home.
ABOUT US
IMPROVING LIVES AND PLACES
River Clyde Homes is a 'not for profit' affordable housing provider that owns and manages over 5,800 homes and provides factoring services to a further 2,200 homes in the Inverclyde are. We employ over 250 members of staff, including 58 specialist trade operatives.
Formed in December 2007, following the transfer of homes from Inverclyde Council, we are a registered charity monitored and regulated by the Scottish Housing Regulator.
Led by a board of 12 members, we put our customers at the heart of everything we do, and ensure that they have real influence. We also provide more than simple landlord services because we care about the people and the places where we work.
We have grown in recent years and currently have one subsiduary company called River Clyde Property Management (RCPM). This has enabled us to bring much of our work in-house, carried out by a specialist team. As well as saving over £500,000 in it's first year, RCPM has created 59 jobs.

Thriving Communities
CUSTOMER INVOLVEMENT
River Clyde Homes has been recognised for how it involves its customers to change and improve services. There are now well established ways for people to get involved at a level that suits them. More than that, we engage with customers, young and old, throughout the year in less formal ways by organising events, fun days, social activities and health initiatives. As well as being fun, these events give us an opportunity to speak with customers about the things that matter to them. If you would like to get involved, all the information is on our website at: www.riverclydehomes.org.uk

DEALING WITH ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOUR

BUILDING COMMUNITIES

Ryan, one of our new tenants, was very impressed with his letting experience.

"It's all happened so quickly. I can't actually believe it! And with the added bonus of a 24/7 call centre and the emergency repair service, I know that if I need any advice, or if something goes wrong, there's someone at the end of the phone to help me."
